Seven years of experience in governmental institutions and within the UN Administration and Human Resources areas also as a translator have given me the opportunity to demonstrate and articulate a sound understanding of human resources procedures and translation.
I have worked as a Human Resources Focal Point and Translator in a regional office where part of my responsibilities were to translate and edit documents from French or English into Creole or English to staff and managers on human resources matters, prepare reports and coordinate with various Units of the Human Resources Section and main offices (HQ). Part of my tasks involved translating and proofreading documents to staff members deployed in my area of responsibility (AOR) on their career development. As also a translator I interpreted policies, rules and regulations and performed the roles of both Human Resources Partner and Translator.
Other daily tasks included reviewing applications and interpreting during staff meetings. Among the achievements attained during these years, Human Resources policies were implemented, translation and interpretation were achieved due to my dedication to well done jobs and my discipline. This has been possible through diligently respecting deadlines and through a consistent performance and a desire to reach set objectives.
Being fluent in four languages (Haitian Creole, French, English and Spanish) as well as my interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment have been repeatedly commended by my colleagues and supervisors. This has contributed to a general improvement of the working environment. I believe that my experience and qualifications make me a well-rounded professional translator to work with you and for your company.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Thatiana
