Part of the work process is to learn and grow so you can become better.
Although I don't have any professional background in translation, I am quite comfortable with reading, writing and understanding English texts, since it is a language that I use quite often on my daily life, either by talking with friends across different countries, reading the news on several different platforms, or just by partaking in some side projects which involve the English language.
Additionally, I also have knowledge in both video editing and voice acting, as I partake in several activities that require me to be in constant contact with programs such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop and Audacity.
I have previously worked at the Portuguese Author's Society (SPA), specifically on the "New Technologies" department, and I was in constant contact with several Digital Service Providers (e.g., Youtube, Spotify, Facebook, etc.), from different countries using English as the basis for communication. Furthermore, I was the one reviewing the contracts that were sent to SPA by those Service Providers in order to get those platforms licensed. Worth pointing out that all those documents were in English.
Furthermore, the basis for my master thesis were both academic books and articles in English. I am also currently translating my master thesis from Portuguese to English in order to make it more accessible to other people.
My interests are fan studies, video production and editing, voice acting/dubbing, video-games, reading academic books and collecting both art books and old video-game cartridges, as well as other old technologies used to emulate video-games.
