Uniquely familiar designs.
Blue Bunny Pictures is the creative release for independent artist, designer, writer, and film maker, Tim Motter.
After a long journey of shuffling colleges, lost credit hours, two bouts with Hodgkin's lymphoma (including a bone marrow transplant) and moving a 1,000 miles from home, he finally graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida in 1995 with a BA degree majoring in graphic design.
He has been a graphic designer for over 20 years and has worked at various advertising and marketing firms in the Central Florida area. He is now primarily a freelance artist.
He first became interested in film making after writing and directing a few TV commercials. His first screeplay 'Ordinary God' was a semi-finalist in 'Fade In' magazine and "the Writers Network' 12th Annual Fiction and Screenplay Contest.
Why the name Blue Bunny?
On the first day of production of 'Assassin Blues' Tim walked onto the set early to get a feel for the room before shooting commenced, and there, on the bare concrete floor lay an abandoned pink stuffed bunny.
What was this forlorn looking child's toy doing there? Without a further thought Tim rescued the toy and placed it in his shirt pocket. The owner couldn't miss the incongruous pink bunny sticking out of his pocket. But as the day wore on, and many "What's with the bunny?"s, its owner failed to materialize. So the bunny was unoffically adopted.
At the time, the joint production company of David Adda and Tim Motter had not yet decided on a name. Someone jokingly suggested Pink Rabbit Films? That got the ideas flowing. The film we were working on, 'Assassin Blues', was about a humorlous hitman nicknamed Happy who never smiles. Like calling a big man tiny, Blue Bunny Pictures was born. Since then, Blue Bunny Pictures has grown to encompass, art, design, writing, and of course film making.
