Before my retrenchment in 2012 I had spent the bulk of 23 years in music retail - a career that I loved and which taught me how to mix my love for music with the necessary art of business.
The desire to remain immersed in music and people meant that I had to keep the shops' I worked in sustainable and profitable.
Life after retrenchment taught me new skills. I learned that I could still paint (I had studied Fine Art). I fine tuned and expanded my photographic skills. I became a handyman - fixing things and doing home maintenance to save and to make some money. Despite not reading as much as it seems - I learned that I could write - about myself, about music and about other things.
I am still trying to find the hook that will give me the financial stability I need to feel secure and in control of my life again.
I am multi-skilled, but have no formal qualifications. I work hard and learn quickly. I am extremely detail oriented. I like to be challenged.
Work Terms
