I provide professional editing, proofreading and copywriting services for a diverse range of written mediums.
I have an MA (Religious Studies), and postgraduate diploma in journalism and media studies. I have also completed a year of the postgraduate LLB. While completing my MA I worked for two years as senior researcher for an academic institute at the University of Cape Town. My work included editing and proofreading papers submitted for publication.
I worked for 6 years as Researcher with the National Institute for the Deaf (in Worcester, South Africa). My work was diverse, and included compiling a range of written material for publication, including marketing material, designing training courses, writing editorials and articles on diverse topics, and editing and proofreading all written material produced and published by the Institute.
I am currently employed as Senior Sub Editor with an award winning regional newspaper in South Africa, where I edit and copywrite all articles for publication. As an employee of Times Media, I do the same for all publications within the company's stable. In addition I write articles on diverse issues, which have been published in various newspapers.
I have also been a freelance editor and proofreader for over a decade, and have completed projects for an international journal, several postgraduate academic theses, websites and other mediums.
I am 37 years of age, married, with two young sons. I am passionate about music and sport, and actively involved in both.
