Whether it's as something simple as a modification to an existing report, or a net new system complete with interfaces I will leverage my 20+ years experience in heath IT to deliver a complete project on time and under budget.
I started my health IT career in a large health system, adding clinical decision support to our existing EHR. I also have extensive experience in many types of interfaces (i.e. HL7, FHIR, and other APIs) with a heavy emphasis on user interface and experience because, ultimately, if users find something cumbersome or not conducive to their workflow, there will be lower adoption. I have since worked with one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies and then an EHR vendor.
However, my experience does not limit me to just healthcare. I can take a methodical approach to any project.
Work Terms
I will typically work after hours, unless your availability requires a call or meeting to discuss something during regular business hours. If something requires production support, I can be available to meet your needs. I will also create a repository for each project and make source code available, as well as knowledge transfer, upon completion of a project. If there is anything specific to your environment (i.e. VPN, GitHub vs Azure DevOps) we can address those requirements and comply to those requirements.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Any projects that involve protected health information (PHI or PII), I will request an executed BAA with the covered entity. I also follow standard HIPAA security rule and privacy rule measures, which include, for example, accounting for PHI disclosures and secure e-mail. Such contracts are between the covered entity and the limited liability company (LLC). which I own entirely.
