Hello, I'm Tom, an English major graduate with a passion for language and cross-cultural communication. Here's a snapshot of my professional journey:
I graduated with a degree in English in 2018, equipped with the ability to proficiently translate between Chinese, English, and Cantonese.
From 2019 to 2021, I served as a Foreign Trade Manager in a state-owned enterprise in China. My primary focus was on the sales of notebooks and tablets, managing key accounts such as VESTEL and Portugal's JP Group. During my tenure, I achieved remarkable success, with the highest annual sales reaching an impressive 120 million RMB.
In 2023, I embraced the entrepreneurial spirit and ventured into freelancing. I established and managed a social media account named "TOM's Toolbox," catering to a diverse audience. Concurrently, I leveraged my language skills to assist international clients by providing translation services and creating educational videos. Notably, I collaborated with a renowned trading company, producing Chinese-language educational videos on economic topics for their YouTube channel.
Beyond translation and content creation, I also offer Mandarin language tutoring services.
My journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, a love for languages, and a dedication to bridging cultural gaps. I am excited about new opportunities that allow me to apply my skills and contribute to meaningful projects. Let's connect and explore the possibilities!
