H, I'm Steven, 50% of "Tomate Design" a compact Scottish / Mexican Graphic Design company in central México. New to Guru but armed with decades of commercial experience in more aspects of design than most companies have provided. Design and language has been my life and business since the early 1990's. Currently seeking to diversify my healthy local client roster and include more international business, my main aim is to produce work that ensures the long-term success of my clients — I only succeed if the people for whom I work succeed. The office which I share with my partner, the equipment and software we use is paid for with the sweat of our ideas and the ability to implement them, whether printed or digital. Being natively bi-lingual (English/Spanish), we've a well established international client base that's seen our work printed, exhibited and broadcast in multiple continents and languages. Our office is tight and efficient, our overheads low, our turnaround for smaller projects quick while we chew over the design needs of our regular clients both here in México and across Europe and the UK.

"Why 'Tomate Design'?", is a question we're often asked, so here's the answer. Our name is pronounced Tom-ah-tay and is Spanish for Tomato. As the origins of our business are from both México and Scotland the name fits well, as the broad Scottish pronunciation of tomato is quite similar to the name in Spanish. The tomato is incredibly versatile — whether raw in a salad or a sandwich, cooked for sauces, stews, curry or soups, its open to a huge number of uses and appearances, just as we are in the range of design services we provide and the types of client we provide them for.
