Currently, I live in Marburg, Germany, where I am obtaining my masters at the University of Marburg. I recently graduated from the University of Mary Washington (Virginia) with a bachelors in History. These degree programs have given me a chance to gain different perspectives from a number of American history and literature classes ranging from pre-colonialism to Hemmingway to President Obama. Furthermore, it has allowed me to obtain, reading writing, researching, and critical thinking skills that are much needed for any job.
Outside of education, I filled my time by commuting two and half hours every day while working a forty hour work week at the local Starbucks. Working service jobs (as well as partaking in volunteer organizations) has given me the necessary skills to communicate with people from all walks of life. I am also the editor for our program (The North American Review) newspaper. This job has given me skills in multiple areas, most notably, story writing, editing, content writing, as well as many other task. If I do get free time I like to enjoy it outside. My hobbies range from fly fishing, white water rafting, rock climbing, to hiking. Some other hobbies are writing, reading (I love the classics), and just hanging out with my family.
