Professional technologist, seasoned IT Pro, and technology/pop culture writer
On the IT side, I have spent the last decade designing and running both Global IT and software development divisions. In addition to managing million dollar budgets, I trained personnel, wrote and implemented company and enterprise-wide policy, and developed internal software with a client facing web portal. This was in the clinical / pharmaceutical industry, so this included not only software validation but strict adherence to GMPs and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance and frequent audit defenses of my work.
I also have experience in manufacturing and warehouse operations, having worked in supply chain, production and operations as well as ERP systems for Fortune 500 companies.
On the writing side, I run and operate my own site, Technical Fowl, which focuses on technology, games/entertainment, business, politics, and where they all meet. I have a heavy lean towards pop culture, and regularly attend events as credentialed media. These events include PAX events, E3, NYCC, and Wizard World events.
My favorite article I've written? The tax implications of the real money auction house in Diablo III. Neat, right?
I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Drexel University, and can see things from different angles to get the job done.
