Show them. Don't tell them.
My name is Tyler Bell. I'm a graduate of the Art Institute of Indianapolis Media Arts & Animation program. That's who I am professionally, but like yourself I am more than my title. The reason I perused animation as a career isn't out of pure love of animation. I see animation as a tool for me to express my real goal in life, which is to live, to see, and to report back what I have experienced so that others may also have something to relate to. The important thing for me is that the audience walks away with a thought, or feeling. It can be good or bad, and that is fine. It is apathy that I try to combat. That being said, I tend to shy away from realism as a style and aim more for whimsical or surreal styles. Though I am completely capable of working alone, I find that working in groups brings out a better, more well-rounded product. What we as people can do together always outstrips what we can do by ourselves. Life is about living, art is about exploration, and I live to explore.
