I like long walks on the beach and sushi. Now, that I have your attention hopefully with a less generic opening, even though I actually do like the beach and sushi, I'd like to explain how I got started in the writing world. I suppose I was always the English teacher's pet all throughout my academic career. But one day someone informed me that online writing "was a thing" that I could do, much to my surprise. I started out humbly, on a well-known platform known as Upwork, doing product reviews and the like. One of my first projects was quite enthralling, however, as I got to ghost-write a crime story (a genre I happen to like) that took place in Honolulu (a place I happen to be familiar with). After I got great feedback from my client, it grew from there. I got into guest blogging, gaming reviews, press releases, foodie articles, entertainment articles, and health articles. Health topics are a niche area in the writing world that I have explored the most. And I always take the time to read through peer review journals to back up any claims made in health articles. I try to take that seriously, since I'm aware of all the misinformation out there. I'm hoping to develop a broader presence here on Guru as well as broaden my horizons. And I look forward to prospective clients.
