I have 15 years’ experience editing, proofreading and writing for magazines, national newspapers in South Africa, Oxford University Press Southern Africa, book publishers, individual authors and website owners across the globe, and the International Trade Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, to name a few.
I am a published author of fiction and non-fiction, which means I know exactly what an author needs from an editor. I was a nominee for the SAIR 2015 awards for Best Editor of the Year and Author of the Year, ran a writers’ critique group for close on seven years and have been called an ‘empathic’ editor. I am also an official short story judge for On the Premises, an online fiction magazine that hosts short story contests throughout the year, and I am editor of the Grumpy Old Gods short story anthologies.
I am able to edit in South African, American and British English.
Work Terms
I can work to your deadline, but I work flexi-time, with a 50% deposit for bigger jobs.
