Doing what you don't want to.
I worked Monday to Friday at the Avenues Vet Clinic, I started out there just after high school, I started out as a receptionist I would answer calls; book appointments for the surgery as well as the vets; I would also to put clients and their patients on the waiting list to be seen by a doctor, or to be booked in for surgery that day, I refilled scripts and then I started assisting with the front shop, I would order in small animal food with our suppliers I also ordered toys and treats and would set up in the waiting room, I also was in charge of the pets weight loss programme I did with a vet on duty as well as the assistance of Hill’s pet food.
I then started being a stock controller in terms of the medication that we would need for that week or month, depending on the medication I was ordering, I signed off things when they came in before placing on the system and then the shelf.
I continued in reception while I was controlling stock, later on into my appointment with Avenues Vet, I became the PA to the owner of the vets online shop, I assisted in answering his e-mails, collecting the products he needed for his clients I assisted in bringing his stock as well as administrative support with filing and paper work.
I worked the floor at this retail company I would start every morning by cleaning the floors and counters, I then assisted consumers on the store’s floor, I would be in charge of the book section, I would get new stock in place prices on the stock then place it on the shelf I would also assist the shop behind the counter by making sales, we were also instructed to walk the floor and assist with any concerns the consumers might have.
