A PhD candidate in Urban Art at the Polytechnic University in Valencia, Spain, I provide drawing, painting, graphic art, and embroidery services in a variety of styles and mediums.
Born in Colombia, I received my Bachelors in Visual Arts from the District University Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá in 2013. In 2017, I graduated with Honorable Mention from the National Autonomous University of México (México City) with a Masters in Visual Arts concentrating in drawing. I am now in my second year of production and research, working toward my Doctorate in Art, with a concentration in Urban Art, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
My work was recognized in 2017 with the Early Degree Prize upon completing my Masters. In 2016-17, I received a scholarship in exchange and international mobility, which allowed me to attend the Tyler School of Art at Temple University and exhibit at the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia. In 2013-14, I received the Young Talented Artists Scholarship from ICETEX in Bogotá. I received the Student Curatorial Prize while pursuing my Bachelors, as well as the 2010 Lorenzo Jaramillo Prize and the 2009 Prize in Professors and Students Creation.
I have secured artistic residencies for research and production at the National University of Rosario, Argentina (2015); and at Temple University-Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, U.S. (2016-2017). I have had individual exhibitions in Colombia (2013-14, 2015), México (2014, 2017) and Argentina (2015), and group exhibitions in Canada, Colombia, México, Panamá, and Spain.
