Vatsal is a lawyer with specialization in energy/infrastructure laws and international arbitration. He has substantial experience of working in the infrastructure industry, with a particular focus on renewables. He has dealt with several legal, commercial and regulatory issues related to the sector across various Indian states and several US states such as TX, UT, SC and GA. His key focus have been project development/construction and related commercial contracts widely used in the energy and infrastructure sector such as the PPA, general EPC, interconnection agreements, subcontractor agreements, option agreements, consultancy, supply, brokerage, sale/purchase and lease agreements. Also, he is familiar with concession agreements, drilling contracts, JOAs, and other domain centric contractual models. Vatsal obtained his Master's in Energy Laws and International Arbitration, that helped him widen his breadth of exposure in the global energy sector, especially that of the United States, alongside a legal and practical insight into the international commercial and investment arbitration mechanisms involving NAFTA, UNCITRAL, CAFTA and various BITs.
