Work Terms
Thank you for considering me as your beta reader! Below are the essential details about my work terms, including hours of operation, payment terms, and preferred communication methods. These will ensure a smooth and professional collaboration.
Hours of Operation
Availability: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (EST). I’m available outside these hours for urgent requests, but an additional fee may apply for rush services.
Turnaround Time: Typically, I complete standard beta reading projects in 7-14 days, depending on manuscript length and complexity. For short works or rush orders, I can provide feedback in 3-5 days.
Weekends: Generally offline on weekends, though I’m available for urgent matters with prior notice.
Payment Terms
Payment Method: I accept PayPal for easy and secure transactions. Upon agreement, I will send an invoice through PayPal.
Payment Schedule: A 50% deposit is required upfront to reserve your spot, with the remaining 50% due when the final feedback is delivered. For projects under 20,000 words, full payment is required upfront.
Rates:
Short Stories (up to 10,000 words): $5–$15
Novels (10,000–50,000 words): $20–$40
Longer Manuscripts (50,000+ words): Starting at $60
Rush Fee: A 20% surcharge applies for expedited turnaround times.
Revisions: Additional feedback or revisions after the initial report will be billed at $5 per hour.
Communication Style
Document Sharing: I use Google Docs for manuscript feedback, allowing for inline comments. PDF summaries or annotated PDFs can be provided if requested.
