Writing has always been a passion of mine and I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in a wide variety of fields and industries over the past 10 years.
Throughout my years of education, I have gained experience and insight into a wide range of writing types and skills, and have also had the opportunity to become an English tutor as well as a peer editor in University. I graduated in 2012 with a BS English Literature and BA History. Since graduation, I have continued to proofread and edit academic projects of all types, as well as letters of intent for post-graduate education.
As my professional life emerged into the Marketing sphere, I have had the opportunity to expand my writing and editing skill-set into the business world, initially for a software company and currently for the consumer goods industry. Having started on this career path with only a working knowledge of the marketing industry, I have had on the job learning for all types of projects, such as product development, website copy, press/media releases, industry literature, and various other digital marketing collateral. I have proven myself to be an asset for project completion and idea creation, as well as being thoroughly organized and strict on deadlines.
Although I am working full-time, I am also growing my career as a freelance editor. I currently work as a freelance proofreader and editor for a small company that specializes in creative projects. With this company, I have had the opportunity to work with writers during the development of their creative projects, which has been an incredible experience that has encouraged me to continue my own venture in progressing my career as a freelance editor.
Work Terms
