My talents in writing include a broad range of various forms of writing. I have ample experience in research writing, and am capable of citing sources in MLA and APA formats. I have researched and published works in topics including history, modern environmental issues, modern health issues, sociology, and family life. Additionally, I have formal education in chemistry and environmental science. I have active professional experience in research and development, laboratory work, and metallurgical studies. These professions have required me to submit scientific report writing. I have also written pieces about my volunteer experiences with animals and children. My published works range in length, although I am capable of writing longer or shorter pieces as requested by clients. I believe in the thorough usage of multiple types of sources in my research, such as academic articles, newspaper and magazine articles, printed books, and verbal interviews. The combination of several mediums of research prove to be the best method for exploring a topic and narrowing it down to a specialized piece. As a writer, I feel it is my responsibility to not only digest the information I have found, but to input new rhetoric that invokes readers to think a certain way about topics. Good writing, in my opinion, moves readers in a way that may lead them to take action or to think and speak differently than they had before.
In addition, I have experience writing fictional short stories and poetry. Although my personal interest leans toward topics such as nature and spirituality, I have also written fictional pieces in fantasy, horror, mystery and historical fiction. I find my writing style to be visual and descriptive, and enjoy writing plot lines that captivate and surprise the audience.
Work Terms
I wish to negotiate the terms of work on a case- by- case basis. I am flexible and can have a rapid turnaround time depending on the necessity of the client. For more thoroughly researched and lengthy pieces, more time may be needed.
