Senior PHP Web Developer
I'm a PHP Developer at a senior level, and have been coding for over 12 years. I have a wealth of experience in building bespoke PHP web applications, both in a hands-on coding role as well as project-management and consultancy capacities. I have plenty of commercial experience working for corporations and agencies over the years, although I'm now a full-time freelancer here on Guru.
I specialise in CodeIgniter for the majority of my bespoke application work, and more recently Laravel, although I'm not afraid of using other frameworks and codebases if it suits the project or client better.
I also have over 10 years experience working with the Joomla CMS, doing everything from consulting and template installations, through to complete bespoke template and extension developments. I've also worked extensively with Wordpress and ExpressionEngine over the last 5 years.
I am skilled in front-end coding to a very high standard with XHTML, HTML4 & HTML5, and CSS2 & CSS3, and use a mobile-first methodology to make the most of 'Responsive Web Design' technologies such as media-queries, flexible images and mobile friendly fluid layouts. I strive to continue to meet W3C standards throughout all of my work.
I will take on projects of all sizes from simple fixes, W3C validation and PSD to HTML conversions, through to complete bespoke PHP solutions.
