Technical Architect & Lead Developer
I have 20 years worth of experience in the software delivery ecosystem and have spent the last 11 helping lead, design, develop and drive the technology ecosystem of Australia's second-largest financial institution.
I am a highly-skilled technical and integration architect, a role I thoroughly enjoy, with experience in the distributed micro service ecosystem. I have experience designing and developing systems that utilise various technologies such as: REST, SOAP, relational databases, NoSQL databases, event streams and message queues.
As much as I enjoy the architectural design work, I also enjoy getting my hands dirty. I have substantial experience in the enterprise-level development of cleanly written, robust, well tested and portable micro services using both Java and Kotlin as languages with build pipeline tools like Maven and Docker.
I can also provide consultancy and development of security solutions for projects as I am the principal designer and developer for the primary security system used by desktop applications and service-orientated architecture at Australia's second-largest financial institution.
In conjunction with the above skills, I can provide training as needed to the above topics, whether that is training in good application code through to thought processes and design philosophies surrounding security and ecosystem architecture, including continuous integration pipelines and application packaging.
