I'm a highly motivated software developer with a passion for building impactful applications. I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and am now enrolled in Microverse, a top-tier remote software development school that emphasizes real-world projects and pair programming.
My Electrical Computer Engineering degree provided a foundation in programming through studying C and C# and completing practical projects. 'Embedded systems' was my most enjoyable subject as it involved applying concepts to create a functional project. With three fellow students, I successfully developed a line-following robot, which greatly enhanced my understanding of programming principles. I developed a working prototype of smart glasses as my final year project for which my team won the prize for the second-best project of the year. It involved the use of Python language and Raspberry Pi.
At Microverse, I've honed my skills in full-stack development, working on a variety of solo and group projects using cutting-edge technologies like JavaScript, React, Redux, Ruby on Rails, and SQL. I've also developed proficiency in testing frameworks like RSpec and Jest, as well as agile software development methodologies and object-oriented programming.
In addition to my technical skills, I've gained valuable experience working remotely and asynchronously with teams from all over the world. Through my work on projects like 'Homely 'a Full-stack App, a Metrics web application, a TV show website, and many more, I've developed strong communication and collaboration skills, which are critical to success in today's fast-paced and globalized tech industry.
