Journalist's survey | Designer's vision
I’m a lively and communicative person, with a spirit of leadership, the ability to work in a team and who can think logically while demonstrating creativity. For my skills with the numbers, I received honorable mentions from the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad of Public Schools (portuguese: 'Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas'), for my performance at the 3rd olympics in 2007 and at the 6th olympics in 2010.
Also in 2010, for my communication and leadership skills, I was elected a Teenage Alderman (portuguese: 'Vereador Mirim') in high school. My job was to think about proposals for improvements for my school and my city, and to defend them in front of other Teenagers Aldermen from other schools, elected aldermen and the citizens that participates in city council meetings. I ended the mandate receiving a motion of applause from the Juiz de Fora City Council.
I became interested in design and journalism, because we live in the age of (dis)information and, more than transmitting real content, it is extremely important to think about how this content is passed on to the other. We are not only responsible for what we say, but also for the way we say it. I think that when worked well, design and journalism can solve both problems (what and how to say).
I seek polymathy and, for me, the spirit of being a polymath is in the fact that people don't have to choose between developing their creative side or their logical side. On the contrary, it’s interesting to develop both simultaneously. This is important to me, because I work like this. For example, when analyzing how customers and potential customers react, comment and share the posts made by the company's profile on social media, I have insights from content design in which they will be more involved.
That's a little bit about me. In short, I love to learn and continuing to constantly specialize and transform! Thanks for read this section.
