"To Boldly Code Where No Man Has Coded Before"
I work with product and customer visionaries to lead teams building state-of-the-art software as rapidly as possible. The faster we generate income to validate the market vision, the better for managers' morale.
I spent the last 10 years at JPMC developing and deploying software to process credit card charges. By November of 2018, we had automatically retrieved $1 trillion from issuing banks and distributed it to merchants to settle their card translations. Worked with full-stack Web Logic and Spring Boot applications. Became familiar with high value, high transaction volumes and audited compliance requirements.
* Designed and deployed cyber security libraries which blocked thousands of vulnerabilities without requiring code changes.
* Designed and built a system to implement Google Maps in complicated buildings. Read CAD drawings, used graphing algorithms to find shortest path to destination, drew routes on 3-D map tiles.
* Led the design and implementation of a production support system that improved throughput in a billion-dollar engine plant by 20%. It earned $90 million extra profit on a $10 million investment and reduced the amount of in-plant inventory needed to support the increased production volume by more than 50%. We won a UAW award for improving plant-floor quality of life.
* Implemented a rule-processing inference engine which benchmarked at about 1,000 times faster than its competitors when running on identical hardware. This engine was used for tactical reasoning. It was declared a "munition" by the US Department of Defense who forbade its export.
* Designed and implemented model-based visual inspection systems which won two Customer-Driven Quality Awards (CDQA) and one Henry Ford Technology Award.
* Implemented a full-stack E-commerce site which went to $1 million / month in about 6 months.
Let's explore your visions to increase customer value through efficient software development.
Work Terms
Whatever's convenient for the customer. I've been a W-2, 1099, and have an LLC which can receive payment. We could meet in a parking lot and you could hand over cash in a brown paper bag, but that would cause my bank to file a Suspicious Activity Report.
