Wayne Jordan is a Virginia-licensed Auctioneer (#3481), AIA and CAGA Certified Personal Property Appraiser, and Accredited Business Broker. He specializes in helping those in the antiques and collectibles trade to sell more, manage better, and plan more effectively.
Wayne's Auctioneering travels have taken him across the U.S. from Florida to Alaska, and internationally to sixteen countries from Russia to Panama. He has sold a variety of goods at auction: cars, real estate, jewelry, fine art, antiques, business assets, and estate property. He has held the professional designations of Certified Estate Specialist; Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate; Certified Auction Specialist, Residential Real Estate and Accredited Business Broker. He has held state licenses in Real Estate and Insurance.
Wayne's column "Behind the Gavel" appears bi-weekly in Antique Trader Magazine. His articles appear regularly on WorthPoint.com and in other trade publications. Wayne is a "Worthologist" (appraiser) for WorthPoint, and is the author of four books: The Business of Antiques published by Krause Books; Antique Mall Profits for Dealers and Dabblers published by Learning Curve Books; Relocate for Less! How to Save Money on Van Line Charges published by Learning Curve Books, and How to Become a Real Estate Agent published by One Step Publishing.
Wayne is a former antiques and musical instrument dealer, with stores in Annapolis, MD and Salisbury, MD. At the same time, Wayne owned Jordan's Furniture Service which specialized in damage claims for retailers, manufacturers and van lines. Wayne also owned Ramsey Refinishers, an 8500sf refinishing and restoration shop for pianos and antiques. Wayne's work can be found in the Museum of Virginia Military Institute, the Maryland Governor's Mansion, and fine homes and institutions throughout the Mid Atlantic states.
Work Terms
Hours: daily as needed. Available for consulatation 9-5 EST Mon-Fri. Fees are project-based.
