I am a marketing and engagement strategist. My intent is to strengthen the team. My mission is always to elevate the brand and realize business growth through relevant engagement. The mission leads to activation by the target, which is always the endgame.
Engagement strategies may vary by industry and/or segment (B2C, B2B and non-profit) but the expected outcome is always "activation" by the target audience. I think of it as effective marketing messaging, storytelling and strategic use of media vehicles (traditional media, digital and social media or direct engagement) for the purpose of getting the target audience to act.
I have a broad range of experience engaging all types of customer and business segments, mostly Consumer package goods (CPG/FMCG). I have had various marketing assignments working for Fortune 500 companies to elevate their brand, to make activate targets and to grow their business. I have worked in roles as diverse as brand management (B2C), product management (B2C and B2B), product development (B2C and B2B), channel marketing (B2C and B2B), customer marketing (B2B) and non-profit engagement.
I am particularly strong in fostering cross-functional cooperation in program development and innovation to produce totally new product platforms. I have collaborated with some of industry’s largest national account customers to pioneer new concepts and custom programs.
Though I have spent most of my career as a strategist in the corporate sector, I have also lent my skills to the non-profit arena -- including my role as VP, Corporate & Community Engagement and Customer Care at Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star (BBBSLS). Aside from BBBSLS I have served in other senior roles in the non-profit space as the Executive Director at Heart of a Warrior Foundation and Interim Deputy Executive Director, COO at Outward Bound Adventures, Los Angeles (OBA Inc.). All three agencies’ missions were focused on serving the underserved.
