Efficiency for your words!
My passion is helping small business owners communicate more effectively with the written word. I sometimes view what I do as translating your skill/expertise into words that illustrate who you are with consumers or clients, and more importantly what you can do for them.
My first editing gig was when I was 9 years old and my father, a pastor, would ask me to proofread the church bulletin before printing them. I really cut my teeth during years of freelance journalism. From there, I progressed to being an associate editor with at a newspaper. I later became news director for a radio station, but was also involved heavily with the writing and production of local on-air commercials.
It's not just my journalism experience that I bring to editing. I grew up on an island, lived in the mountains, the desert and New York City. I have had a very diverse path through life; actor, cop, movie projectionist, lumberjack, chef, shallow water salvage diver, volunteer firefighter, travel agent, manager of retail businesses, emergency medical technician, call center supervisor, insurance agent, lifeguard, landscaper and more. I glean from all these experiences. This gives me the ability to relate to and communicate to a wide variety of people in many walks of life.
