I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and worked for over five years as a mechanical engineer for manufacturing companies in the oil and gas industry. It was a demanding role that required the ability to convey complex information as clearly and concisely as possible. This need for clarity, brevity and exacting attention to detail gave me a great deal of experience in technical writing and business communication.
I decided to leverage my writing skills to expand into freelance writing on the side. I have since left engineering to pursue freelance writing full-time.
