Experienced PHP web software developer

My passion is problem-solving, while code is a great way to solve a problem, the most effective way is to have a proper understanding of the problem. Solving problems, effectively and reliably, requires being able to communicate the problem and its solution with relevant stakeholders.

Technologies I prefer to solve problems with. Laravel for PHP with special consideration for Lumen when it comes to APIs. I am proficient with Linux (Ubuntu is my flavor of choice), Windows, and macOS. Databasing is something that is really service dependent, to say relational over document store or MSSQL over Mysql is all context-driven and requires a full understanding of resources and the service to be built.

I am a big supporter of microservices and single app responsibility. I love Docker / Docker Compose to run containerized specific services in isolated environments to reproduce production environments locally. I have never run a Kubernetes stack personally, but I have seen and read enough of the technology to believe it is the way forward.

Work Terms

I can offer 5 hours of work on a weekday basis and special consideration can be made for urgent tasks, but it will increase my hourly rate. Paypal would be a preferred method of payment. but I am open to other services as well.
