Honest, hard worker with great ethic and critical thinking skills.
I was born in Des Moines, Iowa. I am a millennial but on the older end of the spectrum, so I can claim the tech savviness of the younger ones and the humble spirit of the generation before me.
I've worked in a few different industries: One year in home mortgage at Wells Fargo, two years on the business side of higher education at University of Southern California, and just under a year in non-profit health care at Kaiser Permanente. In all of the positions I've held, I've proven to be a fast learner, a critical thinker, and someone who can be counted on to follow through on any task given to me.
I have a strong passion for travel and culture. I left my job at USC to volunteer and work for a year in Mexico. There, I worked on an organic farm while learning Spanish through immersion.
I also have several years of experience teaching English as a second language. My first job was as a hired teacher in Jeju, South Korea. I also taught four months in Guadalajara, and most recently I have taught and tutored Chinese high school students at a private academy in Los Angeles, CA. I am very comfortable with cross-cultural communication and the fine art of communicating complex ideas with limited resources.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, trail running, gardening, reading, writing, and guitar. I am big on personal growth, so I am constantly learning about new things and trying to develop my skill set. Currently I am endeavoring to teach myself Java Script and hone my craft for non-fiction writing.

I am flexible with my work hours, although I do prefer regular business hours.
I am willing and able to communicate via email, phone, instant messaging, video conferencing, and/or carrier pigeon.
I am very easy-going and low-maintenance, so you will not have to worry too much about negotiating work terms.
