I contacted Wolfe about developing an image for my urban Halloween event that would recreate one of the most iconic African-american pieces of art, "Sugar Shack" by Ernie Barnes. My honest thoughts were that a black designer may have more breath of understanding as how to best transform the images w
e recognize from Marvin Gaye and Good Times, into a monstrous menage for my Monster's Ball, so I approached Wolfe, but also had a "black-up"! Being a designer myself, I'm not often blown away, but the creativity and depth of detail placed into this one image was unbelievable! What he created was as classic as the original! It's something that will never expire as an image capturing the soul of my event. It was picture perfect, spot on and he did not get paid enough!
