About

Turning data into information in to knowledge.

I am an applied Mathematician/Statistician with emphasis in environmental studies and medical diseases. In terms of environmental studies, my primary area of interest is Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Volcanic activity, Red Tide and the relationship among various meteorological measurements: wind speed, pressure and temperatures. I am also interested in business, economics and health.

I was a Reviewer for the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s Parkinson’s Challenge in 2016 and continue to work analyzing their data. I have made connections with two neurologist and am working on obtaining an IRB to start analyzing their data as well as an IRB for an online survey that I will post on my companies website, Wooten- Analytics (www.Wooten-Analytics.net).

I am also working toward an NSF grant for 1.25 million dollars to test the efficacy of 3D gaming in education. I am working on an Interactive Statistics Dictionary and game called Flatlands, but am currently the only programmer working on this project. I have launched beta versions of several small games on my companies website, The Pedagogue, LLC (www.ThePedagogue.org) which covering various topics in Statistics including interactive lecture notes in Apps written in R (Shiny).

I am interested in researching Artificial Intelligence and developed the Knowledge and Reasoning course in the AI track for Experfy through Harvard’s Innovations Lab.

Work Terms

Reports will be submitted on a weekly basis or on the stated dates included in the milestones.
