I began my ghostwriting career with Fischer Publications, a small, but national mail-order publishing company devoted to natural health. I’ve written books on the heart, arthritis, headaches, and as the copywriter for its sister corporation, Dr. Knoll Products, a variety of natural dietary supplements.
With a start like that, it’s no surprise that I gravitate toward health articles. (I’ve attached the introduction and first chapter of a book on Native American herbs.) In the last several decades, I’ve ghostwritten for a variety of individuals, from laypersons to doctors. Many of the topics were natural health, but many weren’t.
I’m especially good at thoroughly researching a topic, distilling the vital aspects for my readers, and writing it in a clear, concise language. My writing is reader-friendly. I don’t use stilted language. When larger, more technical terms are necessary, I make sure the reader fully understands their meanings.
I’m also an award-winning fiction author. My paranormal romcom, Rewrites of the Heart, took paranormal romance of the year in 2023 at the N. N. Light’s Book Heaven website. Additional, Heartquake, another paranormal romance, was a finalist the same year for the Rone awards.
I have a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University where I majored in American history, and I did graduate work at Ohio University in Athens in the same subject, specializing in presidential history.
I’ve worked at various jobs including a supervisory position at Delphi Corp., formerly a subsidiary of General Motors, where I supervised 65 people on the largest project the company ever attempted. I did a short, temporary stint at the Harley-Davidson Motor Company York, PA. plant as a communications specialist, writing and laying out the weekly employee newsletter, among other duties.
I’ve also worked at various other jobs, including a reporter for several newspapers, and a children’s docent for the Delaware (State) Historical Society.
I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to any position, not to mention common sense and first-class writing skills and impeccable grammar.
I live in northeastern Ohio where I spend my free time reading and dabbling in photography.
