Hector Curriel was born in Lima, Peru. His passion for the arts started when he was very little, a habit that he expressed with keen enthusiasm. He studied architecture, where he continued perfecting his drawing and painting skills for the next eight years while working in fields as varied as architect designer, cartoonist and illustrator. In 2001 he moved to the United States, and he studied art at Art Instruction Schools in Minneapolis, MN. In 2005, he moved to Sioux Falls, SD where he started to work as a freelance artist, working initially as a political cartoonist for many newspapers. He has held several positions as a book illustrator( he has published several books) and fine artist as well. In 2009 he won a Second Place Award in the Charles Schulz Cartoon Art Competition, and in 2011 a First Place Professional Award at Art Instruction Schools. His art pieces have been part of many art exhibits. He is also an accomplished school presenter, and holds frequent art workshops.
Work Terms
I like to work closely with my clients, communicating often online by email and through guru messages, and, if necessary by phone as well, to give them what they are looking for. Invoices are due upon completion of work unless agreed upon otherwise. All the payments have to be done through Safe Pay Escrow.
