Started a year ago by typing university lectures from video. That job required minimal formatting and/or quality inputs. I soon realized that I was able to provide more value to my client by employing strict quality controls. I started double checking my work for content accuracy and proofread the entire document for grammatical and format related requirements.
I have been lucky to work with some very creative and wonderful clients who are always willing to trust and communicate, which has led me to learn more about writing a professional transcript.
A year later, I am employed by a major publishing house, can employ audio tools for difficult to understand files and benchmark the final product against best industry practices.
