Bringing skills in graphic design, advertising design and creative problem solving to a dynamic organization

Attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County earning a Bachelors degree majoring in Graphic Design and graduated May 2010.

My skills include the use of Macintosh system which I have used for about 7 years to browse and create, in fact I am primarily based on Mac as far as design is concerned at the same time I can operate on windows extensively.
I have created flyers, posters, book covers etc. on Adobe Photoshop for 3 years and have advanced skills in photo retouching such as removing unwanted marks, retouching old pictures as well as putting pictures together. I have successfully created books, brochures and programs for 7 years and work well with creating character and paragraph styles, placing images and printing.

Being involved in a student organization has also been a big plus to me when it comes to dealing with people both on and off campus. I was the Public Relation Officer for the African Student Association (ASA) my duties included updating the organizations website, creating flyers or any visual needs as requested, communicating with other ASA organizations in other campuses as well as individuals and businesses.

Freelancing for over five years, I have designed and created promotional pieces including brochures, programs, posters and invitations, which means working with different clienteles who may or may not be difficult but by communicating and listening I have been able to overcome many challenges thrown my way. I also have experience working at the school newspaper where I was responsible for photo editing and layout of the opinion section at the same time I had to work with an editor and copy editor which was frustrating at times but by exercising patience and calmly listening to them we were able to work together amicably.
