My technical documentation journey started as a writer for a wind turbine manufacturer in 2007. As a contractor, I wrote the assembly instructions on how to build the turbines from the ground up. As job sites came to an end, my tasks transitioned from the initial assembly, to commissioning, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance until the next site was scheduled to start. This job required 100% travel which got old to me after a while which is when I began seeking work at home in Houston, Texas. I jumped through hoops for a while until I was able to get back into the field of technical writing. About four years ago, got a job in the warehouse of a company in the oil and gas industry. Within two years I was able to make back to being a technical writer from within the company and have done it ever since. The company manufactured mud, cement, and core sample testing equipment for drilling. In the marketing department, I wrote the user manuals to show how to operate the equipment for the customers. As a team player, I also assisted the engineering department with assembly instructions from time to time. Recently, I fell victim to the industry as many other quality employees have, and was laid off. Which is why I am now pursuing a career as an online entrepreneur where my success will be based on my efforts alone and not the stability of an industry.

I am also currently taking classes for my bachelors degree in graphic and web design. With this being said, my services range from writing detailed user or assembly manuals, to efforts in graphic design, to simply editing images with Photoshop.
