About

SolidWorks-certified mechanical designer specializing in 3D CAD, DFM, and ready-to-manufacture solutions for prototypes, products, and production. Fast, precise, and reliable

I’m a SolidWorks certified mechanical designer and problem-solver who helps businesses take ideas from concept to production. With hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and automation, I focus on practical, manufacturable solutions, not just pretty renders.

My background spans industrial machine design (FMCG and production lines), retail fixtures, custom furniture, and product prototyping. I’ve worked with startups and established companies alike, often stepping into messy or undefined situations to bring structure, clarity, and working results.
What I Do:

3D Design & Modelling (SolidWorks): Parts, assemblies, and mechanisms modeled with real-world constraints in mind.

DFM & Optimization: I design with cost, material, tooling, and tolerance in mind. If you’re looking to streamline a design for laser cutting, CNC, injection molding, or 3D printing, I can help.

2D Technical Drawings: Detailed drawing packs with GD&T, BOMs, and manufacturing callouts.

Reverse Engineering: Rebuilding 3D models from physical samples, sketches, or scans.

Prototype & Fixture Design: Small batch runs, jigs, and setups to bridge the gap between concept and mass production.

Process & Workflow Automation: I’ve built custom tools in Python to automate repetitive design and reporting tasks, improving efficiency for engineering teams.

On-site Feasibility: I understand factory floors and know that not every shop has the same machines or processes. My designs reflect this.

What sets me apart is that I’ve personally done the dirty work: fitting, fabricating, iterating under pressure. I’ve also led onboarding initiatives, developed internal systems, and worked directly with suppliers to reduce friction between design and production.

I don’t overpromise. I work with transparency, ask smart questions, and treat your project like my own. Whether you need hourly design support, a full design pack, or someone to just figure it out and make it work, I’m interested in hearing about your project.

I’m based in South Africa but work with international clients.

If you’re unsure how to move forward with your design or you need someone to sanity-check your current approach, I’d be happy to talk.

Let’s make something that works.
