I’m seeking an experienced 2D animator to join my team, which will create a captivating 2-minute and 42-second trailer for my self-published sci-fi novel, Comhrac. This trailer will be a key component of my Kickstarter campaign, aiming to engage potential backers with a visually striking teaser.
Project Details:
- Duration: 2 minutes and 42 seconds
- Style: Mimicking the anime style of Yoshiaki Kawajiri (e.g., gritty, action-oriented, detailed)
- Purpose: To promote the novel Comhrac and engage potential readers with a visually striking teaser
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a visually engaging 2D animated trailer based on the themes and tone of Comhrac
- Create character designs, key scenes, and a storyboard that aligns with the novel's narrative and atmosphere
- Incorporate dynamic action sequences and emotional moments to capture the essence of the story
- Work closely with me to ensure the animation aligns with my vision for the trailer
- Provide regular updates and incorporate feedback throughout the animation process
Requirements:
- Proven experience in 2D animation with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work
- Ability to create animation in the style of Yoshiaki Kawajiri, including detailed character designs and backgrounds
- Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to develop key visual elements such as character designs and storyboards from scratch
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the sci-fi genre and anime influences
