Context:
I have two files:
A system report containing:
- Transfer date
- Order number
- Transfer amount
A bank statement containing:
- Received transfer date
- Client name
- Transfer amount
Objective:
I need a Google Sheets template that will match the transactions from the system report with those in the bank statement. The main challenge is that transactions in the bank statement can have a delay of 0 to 3 days compared to the system report.
Requirements:
- The template should automatically match transactions by comparing the date and amount from the system report with those in the bank statement, considering the 0 to 3-day delay.
- The solution should be simple, efficient, and reusable for future reconciliations.
- Preferably built using Google Sheets formulas, but Google Apps Script can be used if necessary.
- Clear instructions on how to use the template should be included.
Deliverables:
- A Google Sheets template that allows easy reconciliation between the two datasets.
- A brief guide on how to use and update the template for future reports.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in Google Sheets (formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, etc.)
