We have a product in development that still needs firmware written. This is a special purpose low pressure pneumatic pump that can be programmed by the user to vary pressures, creating a pulse effect,. Primary use is a special therapy. This is a small, self-contained, 12 VDC device, with a display screen and a simple selecting button set. The hardware is complete, prototype boards are in hand. This job is to write the firmware for it. This consists primarily of creating the profile programming utility, and the display, options.
A profile is a list consisting of identical points and sequence, with levels of pressure and time being adjustable.
By identical, we mean that once the framework for a profile is complete, the variable points allow the user to create many different ones; store , recall and run them as desired. The circuitry provides precise status information on current pressure. As firmware runs a profile, it uses two mechanical devices to keep the pressure at the profile level of the moment. The pump (on/off) and a micro valve (open/closed), plus the time clock in the system are the three elements it uses.
IF you are capable of writing this, we would appreciate hearing from you.
