To be clear, I am not aiming to be a JCL programmer, rather, be able to troubleshoot abends, identify JCL errors, and understand the function of the individual components of JCL. What I'm Looking For: • Expertise: A seasoned JCL instructor with proven experience in teaching and applying JCL in real-world IBM Mainframe environments. • Hands-On Training: Personalized one-on-one sessions that focus on building skills through direct practice and real-time problem-solving scenarios. Sessions should not be just theoretical instruction. • Curriculum Requirements: Starting from the fundamentals and progressing to advanced concepts, all tailored to my learning pace and focusing on my specific job-related needs and objectives. • Equipment: I have Vista TN3270 installed on my PC, and I expect to utilize this setup for practical training purposes. • Schedule: Weekend sessions to accommodate my work schedule. Flexibility to adjust the timing if needed. Previous Experience: Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with a previous instructor who focused solely on theoretical knowledge without any practical engagement, which was not only unhelpful but also costly. This experience has made me cautious, and I am looking for someone who can demonstrate genuine expertise and a commitment to practical teaching.
