I have more than fifteen years' experience as a specialist academic editor and proofreader. I work on personal statements, essays, papers, assignments, journal articles, theses and dissertations for undergraduates, postgraduates, and academics. • Subject areas: • Referencing: • Native speakers and non-native speakers: • The proofreading process • What is involved: —Structure: I will look at the overall structure of the essay and suggest improvements if needed. —Referencing: I am happy to edit the References list to check that it meets your required academic style (Harvard, APA, or OSCOLA, for example). —Marking guidelines: You will often receive guidelines from tutors that break down how your essay will be marked. If you send these to me, I can check that you have met the requirements and suggest changes that might help improve your grade.
