The personal essay is perhaps the most important part of a college application, yet many teenagers have little prior experience writing the kind of revealing autobiographical essay that tells admissions review teams who they are and why a particular college is the perfect fit. With much at stake, parents (often understandably anxious over the highly competitive application process) may not have the skills or may be too busy to provide the kind of patient, objective coaching that will help a teen showcase his or her accomplishments, personality and ambitions in 650 words or less. I will work with your student to develop his or her own piece of writing into an essay that will get the positive attention of admissons officers.
