I worked as a social worker for the government for 25 years. I have exceptional customer service and negotiation skills. In this previous position I worked with seniors and disabled people, as well as Veterans. Through this experience I have learned the skills of disarming angry people. I have the ability to help people see what is best for them and how they can benefit from a change in their lives. I'm blessed to be able to persuade people to accept and embrace change. While employed as a social worker I scheduled medical, counselling and personal appointments. Since I worked with people who often had memory limitations it was imperative that have all transportation needs set up as well as reminders for clients. I would follow up with Dr, counselor or provider to ensure clients needs were met and what course of action is needed based on appointment. During my years with the government I took it upon myself to write many procedure manuals and trained numerous co-workers in this field. While the government had written manuals, they often didn't provide the needed "in the trenches" information needed. In 25 years as a social worker I never had a formal complaint. My gentle spirit and understanding disposition served me well in this profession. I currently live in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. My children are all grown and my husband works full time here in Cabo. I'm seeking a position which will allow me to work from home. I have excellent internet service, Vongage for with USA phone number as well as US cell phone and Mexican cell phone. I have an office set up with Mac computer and locking door to this room. I believe I will be an asset to any company who employs me to represent them.
