Retired Social Worker who is now looking for work in customer service. With many years of experience working with the public I can handle any situation.

As a previous social worker for the government I've worked with all ethnic groups. My primary focus in social work was with elderly and disabled people. In this position I spent a considerable amount of time problem solving and organizing care needs for clients. Research and report writing was a daily requirement. Ability to interpret policy and procedures. In my position I trained many new social workers. While doing this part of my job I wrote my own training manuals, which are still be used today. These manuals were written in a way new workers could find the required information easier than the State written manuals. Writing manuals and training staff was not actually part of my job description but I felt the need to make it easier for new social workers to be successful. This job was very fulfilling to me. I loved helping people find peace in ageing and with their disabilities. I was passionate about showing people how they could remain independent and still contribute to society. Just because they were elderly or disabled didn't mean they didn't have a lot of valuable information and life to share with someone else.

Work Terms

I'm able to work from 6 A.M to 3:00 P.M. I would prefer to have Wednesday and Thursday off, as those are the days off my husband has.
