I was a technical editor for the U.S. Geological Survey. I have done freelance writing and editing, and I am familiar with the major style guides including the Chicago Manual of Style, Words Into Type, the Wired Style Guide, and the AP Style Guide. I have written editorials, book reviews, humorous essays, and academic articles. I also have a law degree and have worked as a law clerk for the past couple of years. As a law clerk I did legal research, drafted pleadings and motions, organized discovery, wrote articles for the office blog, and more. For this reason I am especially well suited to editing legal material. I earned my B.A. degree at CSU Sacramento, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in English and philosophy.
