Writer, Editor, Researcher
I have six years of experience as a technical writer for an ERP software company and a year as a business analyst for the same company. Before that I was a technical editor for the U.S. Geological Survey. I have done freelance writing and editing, and I am familiar with the major style guides including the Chicago Manual of Style, Words Into Type, the Wired Style Guide, and the AP Style Guide. I have written editorials, book reviews, humorous essays, and academic articles. See below for writing samples.
I also have a law degree and have worked as a law clerk for the past couple of years. As a law clerk I did legal research, drafted pleadings and motions, organized discovery, wrote articles for the office blog, and more.
I earned my B.A. degree at CSU Sacramento, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in English and philosophy.
Work Terms
My pay rate can vary depending on the type of project, but generally I charge between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour.
