Trademark Paralegal looking for work in my spare time. In 16+ years I have worked on all aspects of trademarks. Conducting online availability/registrability searches for proposed marks including common law searches, reviewing formal search reports and prepared preliminary opinions. Prepare and file applications in the U.S., including drafting of goods and services descriptions, draft responses to Office Actions and assist clients with determining specimens of use to register marks, file Assignments and documents for post-registration maintenance of marks. Act as foreign associate liaison for international trademark prosecution including instructing agents on registrability searches, filing of applications, obtaining corporate documents for completion of trademark filings, and with legalization of same, and maintenance of marks once registered. Review of client watch notices for possible oppositions against third-party marks. Assist with IP due diligence, including evaluation of chain of title, security interest filings and releases, portfolio ownership, and reviewing of license agreements. Assist in overseeing the Trademark docket and maintenance of personal docket. Assist with U.S. and foreign opposition filings and preparation of evidence for same including filing of extensions, Notices of Opposition, Petitions to Cancel with the U.S. TTAB.
