Product descriptions that revolve around how a purchase can add value to the customer's life and aren't just lists of specifications padded with filler can make a huge difference to conversion rates. Chances are that you're not selling a truly unique and awesome product. This being the case, you need sales pages that contain a dash of creativity, a little bit of humor, and a big spoonful of relatability.
Telling people what a product does is not enough; you need to illustrate what it can do for them!
